Well, I didn't forget and I am getting married. Someday. Maybe? Hopefully... I have loads of updates, and I'm going to attempt to cover them all.
- I lost 18lbs! It's not that much considering I've been actively trying to lose weight since June, but I have not gained a single pound back since I started losing. No yo-yo-ing. Just seeing the numbers on the scale decrease is a wonderful feeling. I'm down one pant size, and I can fit into some of my old clothes again.
- I bought a wedding dress! You can see it here. Want to know what's even better than the fact that it's gorgeous and exactly what I wanted? It was originally $2100, and I got it for $300. No, ladies and gentlemen, that is not a typo. I am the queen of thrift!
- On a similar note, my aunt (who I forgot was a florist ::palmface::) offered to do our flowers for cost as a wedding gift. Woot!!
- We still have no wedding date, but Josh finally gave up on his priest. For those of you who may not know, the whole issue was Josh's priest not wanting to travel to New Orleans to marry us. You know, because it's five states away, and the wedding's next weekend, and priests simply cannot ask another priest to fill in for one afternoon mass. (Did you catch the sarcasm?) On to Priest #2.
- My Maw Maw died :( She passed away New Year's Day at 1:04am at 101 years old. She was the heart and soul of our family, and we're all very sad she's gone. Priest #2 was very close with her and the rest of my family. Out of respect for the situation, Josh and I decided to wait a while before asking him to marry us. We haven't spoken yet, but we have been playing phone tag for the past week or two.
- I have a new blog devoted to my book reviews. It's something I've had in my head for a long time, and I finally put it together. It can be found here.
- I swore I'd never do it, but I've become a twit. I'm so disappointed in myself for not resisting.
